the game was not without its positive points. For most of the game the two teams were well matched, with the pandas having the upper hand in terms of chances and winning the ball. Despite putting pressure Boitsfort and dominating in one-on-one battles, Kosova were not able to convert the opportunities into goals. After a questionable tackle in the first half that lead to a penalty for Boitfort, Kosava’s keeper Aga made a great save to keep the game at 0-0. The team as a whole did well to not lose their heads and panic, and continued to play their game. Not long before half time, a Boitsfort ball to the flanks was able to cut through the defence for the opposition to go 1-0 up. Kosova came close to equalising before the break, with the strikers and flanks linking up well to carve out chances for the team. However, after half time the team were able to bounce back with a great goal from Cam. Tensions and frustrations were high as the game continued, with physical challenges being made by both teams. Kosova came close to going ahead, looking particularly dangerous from set plays, and the Boitsforts keeper made a number of good saves to keep the scoreline level. With little time to go before the final whistle, Boitsforts won a corner and after the ball was allowed to bounce in the 6-yard box, they managed to capitalise on the chance and score a winning goal. Despite the frustrations, the pandas already have their heads in the next game and are determined to come back fighting. Special mention goes to Agatha in net, who was voted the ‘top’ player by the team. She was quick to come out for clearances and stop various long balls turning into threats. Onwards and upwards for Les Pandas next Sunday!
